A new name written in Glory

A new name written down in glory!!
Praise the Lord that on Saturday evening Janko, pronounced (yawnko) got saved. We began working with him 18 months ago
Before we came back to the states for our furlough. He was seen to be under conviction many times during the preaching. Janko
Came from being an atheist to believing in the existence of God to being a child of the King! It took me over ten years from the time
I first heard the gospel to the day I accepted Him as my Lord and Savior. Pray for him to grow in the Lord as I teach on the
Subject of baptism and church membership. He is like a sponge soaking up the truths of the Word of God. I had not yet spoken about the
Subject of alcohol but Janko and his wife had already quit drinking. Pray for his wife Anna as well as the others who have been attending
services. We pray that through his testimony others will also come to trust Christ.

Happy Czech Independence Day

Happy independence day from the Czech Republic,
20 years ago today the Czech people gathered in the main square in Prague and demanded their freedom.
Czech students bravely stood against the Russian soldiers and refused to disburse. The result was the end
of the Soviet era of control here in the Czech Republic.

We had a wonderful service in Brno on Sunday. The largest number of Czechs joined with us since the time
we first arrived on the field in 2002. 10 precious Czech souls gathered with us. One of which is saved and
several more who are very close. The Lord gave great liberty to share the message of Christ as well as
great ability in the language. Several people told me that I was speaking better Czech than when we left last fall.
Please pray for the salvation of Janko, Anna, Lenka, Milada, and Milada’s husband Mirek.

We were also blessed to have a supporting pastor visiting with us from Canada. Pastor Reaves from Bible Baptist
Church in Brandon was there along with his wife Bonnie and their grown daughter Nikki. His son John Reaves
has been filling in for me during our absence and was also in attendance with his family. What a blessing to
have a likeminded man so close and willing to help keep things going during our furlough. We praise the Lord for
John and Rachael, our fellow missionaries to this dark land.

Safe Arrival

Dear prayer partners,

We praise the Lord for a safe arrival and uneventful flights from Springfield to Prague. Brother Reaves was there to pick us up

Right on time. The Lord blessed from the very beginning in that I was charged only half as much as I could have been for the extra bag

We took with us. We booked with Lufthansa but United operated the flights. United charges more than Lufthansa for extra bags. Anyway, after a quick prayer and discussion the kind lady at the counter let us go with the lower fee. Amen!

Please pray for the situation relating to a vehicle. The Lord is giving direction and I look forward to sharing how He blessed in providing

What is needed at a great price. We will be making contact with the people who were attending services prior to our departure. Pray

For the Lord to open hearts to the message and to receive glory through the work here in the Czech Republic.

There are many things to get set-up, including a internet connection. I am sending this from an internet café. We just want you to know

We arrived and are hitting the ground running.

Up up and away

well, we're at the airport in Springfield, MO waiting for our flight as I write this. The Lord blessed in the check-in process. Two of our bags were 48.5 and 49.5 lbs each. The remaining six were 50 lbs right on the nose!
I'm not sure whether we had them that close or if the Lord held them at that and didn't let them go over! Praise the Lord for His goodness either way. Secondly the lady at the check-in counter gave us a discount on the extra bag we are carrying, Amen? Please pray for smooth flights and a safe arrival in Prague at approximately 6:00 AM Eastern time on Wednesday. Brother John Reaves will meet us at the airport and carry us the remaining two hours to the house in Brno.
Pray as we search for a vehicle within our budget and one that will last the whole term. So much to do, we covet your prayers as we hit the ground running.

Take care and God bless,
Jeff

Ready or not, here we go!

After 40,000 miles through 33 states and sharing our burden in 85 churches we are finally heading back to the Czech Republic. God has been very gracious to us in our travels. We now have approximately 85% of our support promised and 80% coming in. Please pray for the Lord to supply what is needed in His time. Since our return to the states the Lord has been making our path straight before our faces. Everything has fallen into place exactly on time. From the provision of the rig we traveled in, to the sale of the same, God has been blessing every step of the way! We will fly out of the Springfield/Branson MO airport on the afternoon of November the 3rd. After a stop in Chicago and Frankfurt we will arrive in Prague, Czech Republic on the afternoon of the 4th. Brother John Reaves will be there to pick us up from the airport and take us the remaining 200 km to Brno. We have made many new friends during this furlough as well as strengthen many older relationships. We have spent invaluable time with our children and grandchild. We thank the Lord for His care and provision in our lives. Pray for us as the work goes forward. I purpose to post regular updates here in between the mailing of our regular prayer letters.
May the Lord richly bless you as you serve Him,
